There’s certainly no shortage of food outlets in Ocean Terminal, with the likes of Wagamama, Pizza Express and Franky & Benny’s all taking up residence. As my girlfriend and myself walked around OT earlier today, we did notice that Mr. Nick’s seemed to be the only busy outlet, with only a couple of empty tables. It’s a recently opened (opened in March 2015 I believe) Greek Kitchen on the first floor in OT.

We were fairly peckish at the time and were looking for a quick, not too expensive bite to eat. Mr Nicks seemed to fit the bill nicely. On entering I was slightly confused by the placement of trays near the entrance. Were we supposed to take a tray and order food, or sit down and wait for someone to take our order? Thankfully we were quickly greeted by the friendly staff who pointed us to the big menu hanging on the wall and informed us that they didn’t have printed menus on the tables yet. I liked the fact they didn’t have printed menus. Something different isn’t it? We were then shown to the only empty table left (got there just on time). Perhaps they offer counter service when less busy?
A member of staff quickly popped over to take our order. We both went for the Chicken Gyros pita (she copied me). It’s described on the menu as being wrapped with tomatoes, onion tzatziki and fries and was only £4.50. Our pitas came very quickly, ticking the quick bite to eat box. Who would have thought that including fries in a pita would be such a good idea? It was lovely. I said at the time that I wished I could cook something like this up myself at home. The meat to salad to fries ratio was spot on, and there was just enough of each to keep hunger at bay but not ruin my appetite for dinner later.

Staff again were very friendly during and after the meal. They asked if we needed anything while eating and said ‘thank-you and have a nice day’ as we left. While we were eating, a little girl knocked a plate off of her table. It was quickly swept up by the staff without fuss. The staff also kindly showed an elderly couple how to get to the Royal Britannia after they mistakenly tried to get to it through the kitchen. It’s the small things like these that makes the dining experience all the more enjoyable. There’s nothing like looking over to an unhappy customer while eating to ruin a meal. No chance of that happening at Mr. Nick’s.
If you fancy trying something different or aren’t too fussed about OT’s other food outlet offerings, I recommend a visit to Mr Nick’s. It’s perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat while out shopping or grabbing some dinner before or after a visit to the cinema. I think I’ll be having the Gyros Dinner next time I’m in Ocean Terminal.
Note: I wasn’t able to take any pics during this visit. All images in this post are from Mr Nick’s official website (listed below). Will try to take some during my next visit.

Summary
Perfectly placed for a quick bite to eat while out shopping. If you're looking to eat with a view, there are better options in Ocean Terminal. However, you'll be hard pressed to find better customer service elsewhere. Note: Mr Nick's doesn't offer alcoholic beverages.
