Last weekend there was a large screen set up in St Andrew Square, screening some popular oldies and modern favourites. Best of all, it was free of charge. I only noticed as I was walking past the square on my way into town. They were showing How to Train Your Dragon (awesome film) at the time. You could alcohol (within reason) into the event, but weren’t allowed to bring in any glass bottles etc. for obvious reasons. No seating was provided so you would need to have brought a rug to sit on.
The event ran from Friday 13th June to Sunday 15th. I wish I had found out about it sooner as it would have made for a nice spot for a picnic. It looks like this is turning into a yearly event (it also took place last year), so look out for mentions of it next year, as it would make for a great few hours out in the sun.
Did anyone make it along to one of the screenings?
